Christmas Brought the Plague
So since I’m fairly certain this is where blogs go, I’m writing another one. Fingers crossed I’m right!
My teen son got sick a few days before Christmas. He never gets sick. Then my daughter got sick Christmas Day. The hubby followed shortly after her. Fevers, sore throat, headaches, coughing, and congestion. Took the kids to the doctor and they tested negative for strep so he decided he was going to call it the flu.
Luckily, I have escaped their plague relatively unscathed. I had a tiny bit of coughing and now I have no voice. I’m not saying it was the amount of preventative crap I was taking, but they thought they were dying and I just can’t talk. My family refuses most of my home remedies. I gave the hubby nosebleeds once when I gave him garlic oil and now he doesn’t trust them. They’ll take echinacea, vitamin c, and the Sambucol, but they won’t touch the fire cider or oregano oil. I’ve been taking shots of the fire cider like an alcoholic at an open bar. I’ll happily breathe fire to make it through the plague with just a lost voice! (I’ll list the ingredients for the fire cider at the end, I don’t measure. I just wing it!)
Unfortunately, the lack of voice means my first YouTube video is prolly going to be pushed back a bit. I intended to post the very first one on January 1st. My voice is annoying enough without me adding a raspy growl to it though. So I’m hoping this clears up quickly. I still haven’t decided what the first video is going to be. I fully intend to wing it like I do everything else in my life. I have so many options. I got melt and pour soap making stuff for Christmas that I want to play with. I have the two litters of baby bunnies that need weighed and are super adorable. I’ve got more lard that needs rendered. I’ve got hides that need tanned. Guess I’ll just wait and see what strikes my fancy when I can finally talk again!
Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday and I hope the plague passed your house by!
